Blueberry Almond Butter Shake

(with zucchini!)

Smoothies are a daily staple here, either as part of a meal or for snack time. This is one of our our go-to’s because it’s full of goodness, slightly sweet, creamy, and even boasts a serving of veggies.

Don’t be afraid of adding zucchini to your smoothies! Its flavor is undetectable and it lends a super creamy element to the smoothie’s consistency, plus - an extra serving of vegetables never hurt.

Servings: 3 to 4

Prep Time: 5 minutes | Cook Time: 0 minutes | Total Time: 5 minutes

INGREDIENTS:

  • 2 cups unsweetened almond milk (or milk of choice)

  • 2 ripe bananas

  • 1 cup frozen blueberries

  • 1/2 cup frozen zucchini

  • 2 tablespoons hemp hearts

  • 1/4 cup almond butter

  • handful of ice

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Add all ingredients to blender in the order listed and blitz until smooth and creamy.

NOTES:

While zucchini is in season, we suggest stocking up so that you can start yourself a freezer stash for all your veggie-loaded smoothie needs. Simply wash the zucchini, trim away the ends, and chop into chunks. Lay out in a single layer on a rimmed baking sheet and freeze. Once frozen, transfer to zip top freezer bags or glass storage containers and store in freezer for up to six months.
